With that stress can come negative side effects like decreased productivity at work, lack of focus, irritability, depression and more. So, what can companies do to help? Review PTO policies to make sure they aren’t a contributing factor.

Layoffs, job restructuring, and wage freezes no excuse for unequal pay

A quick story regarding pay equity which continues to be a hot topic as state legislatures continue to look for ways to expand equal pay laws. California’s pay equity law, California Labor Code 1197.5, allows wage comparisons for jobs that require “substantially similar work,” unlike the federal Equal Pay Act which looks at “equal work.”
